What Are Full-On-4 Implants?

Are you tired of hiding your smile because of missing teeth? Or are you unhappy with your quality of life because of your dentures? There are several treatment options to consider when it comes to replacing teeth. There is no doubt that dental implants are the perfect solution for missing teeth, whether you are missing one tooth, several teeth, or even all of the teeth in your mouth. For patients who are missing most or all of their teeth, a specific treatment will secure the replacement teeth more effectively and efficiently. That treatment is Full-On-4 dental implants.

Here at Advanced Periodontics & Implant Dentistry, we guide our patients to the best possible treatment option. We utilize the latest cutting-edge technology to ensure the most outstanding results. We believe the Full-On-4 or All-On-4™ procedure is the most beneficial treatment option, having you leave our office with a new confident smile.

What Is Full-On-4?

One of the most innovative implant procedures is the Full-On-4 technique, also known as the All-On-4™, All-In-One, or Teeth-In-A-Day technique. This technique benefits patients who struggle with missing teeth or unhappy with their dentures and the discomfort that comes along with them. Full-On-4 utilizes four dental implants inserted into the jaw to attach a full set of new teeth, upper or lower, permanently into the mouth.

The Full-On-4 technique provides patients with a fully-functioning, brand new smile without traditional dental implants’ lengthy procedure and healing time. With traditional dental implants, to secure a fixed set of new teeth, up to six to ten dental implants may be required. Traditional dental implants may also require bone grafting and sinus augmentation to increase bone density to support the implants.

What Is All-On-4™?

All-On-4™ is an effective and efficient alternative to dentures because it offers a more comfortable and secure arch of new teeth. Like Full-On-4, it is a state-of-the-art procedure that only requires four dental implants to hold a new full set of teeth securely. The dental implants are strategically inserted into the jaw to utilize the available jaw bone rather than having to perform bone grafting to increase the bone.

The cost for dental implants does differ from patient to patient. However, since fewer dental implants are required for All-On-4™, the price is significantly lower than traditional dental implants.

Advantages Of All-On-4™

Many people suffer from teeth loss due to gum disease, improper oral hygiene, or even trauma or injury. The All-On-4™ process provides many advantages that can benefit you in the long run. Advantages of All-On-4™ include:

  • Enhance your overall quality of life. Unlike removable full or partial dentures that can cause discomfort and slide in your mouth, All-On-4™ provides a permanent set of teeth that look, feel, and function like natural teeth.
  • Improve your facial structure and appearance. The All-On-4™ procedure helps preserve the natural jaw bone and helps prevent further deterioration of the facial structure caused by missing teeth.
  • Eat the foods you’ve been missing out on. With a permanent set of teeth, you can enjoy your favorite foods again without worry.
  • Easy maintenance. The maintenance for the All-On-4™ implants is the same as for natural teeth; no extra care is needed. With daily brushing and flossing, and regular visits to your dental hygienist, your new smile will remain healthy and clean.

Am I A Good Candidate For All-On-4™?

In order to determine if you are the right candidate for the All-On-4™ procedure, a complete examination is required. During your first consultation, x-ray images and a 3D cone scan will be taken by a specialist to determine if you have enough bone structure to support the implants and the proper bite alignment. Your current oral and overall health will also be taken into account to ensure a successful surgery.
